I perform various administrative tasks to help the office run smoothly, such as managing the appointment book, documentation review, form intake and billing. I am the first point of contact for our patients, and help to resolve their issues and inquiries. I verify insurances daily, follow up on denied claims, oversee all emails and phone calls, and keep the office organized.

I prepare equipment for dental procedures, maintain and restock inventory as needed, and sterilize operatories and instruments in accordance with CDC and OSHA guidelines. I capture x-rays, fabricate temporary crowns, polish teeth, and work closely with the doctor chairside using 4-handed dentistry. I am constantly adapting to patient and office needs, and familiarizing myself with new dental technology. I train new staff on daily operations, and enjoy educating patients on oral hygiene maintenance.

Assisted the doctor chairside with simple procedures, such as prophylaxis. Set up and broke down operatories, sterilized equipment, and set up trays.

I performed various modalities on patients, such as ultrasounds, electric stimulation, and vasocompression in accordance with their treatment plan. I taught and supervised exercises prescribed to patients. I documented subjective and objective measurements specified by the physical therapist, all within HIPAA guidelines. I organized and disinfected the work area and equipment.

I processed blood samples in a centrifuge following standard operating procedures, and extracted the plasma into aliquots using a micropipette. I prepared samples of breast milk, hair, urine, and toenails for freezer storage, created and printed labels for the samples, and maintained aliquot logs in Freezerworks and Excel spreadsheets. I disposed of the biohazardous materials in a level 2 biosafety cabinet. I received certifications in Hazardous Waste Management and UC Laboratory Safety Fundamentals for this role.

I provided support and comfort to children with a variety of acute and chronic illnesses by organizing activities and games during their hospital stay. I worked closely with the child life specialist and nurses to assist with daily responsibilities. I sanitized equipment, floor pads, and toys, and practiced proper safety procedures such as wearing masks, gloves, and gowns in isolation rooms for children with weakened immune systems.

I addressed customers' concerns and issues by effectively and patiently communicating with them. I operated a POS cash register, handling around 40 transactions a day. I also restocked and reorganized inventory in order to keep the store presentable and orderly.

I memorized and sequenced multiple drinks at a time, sometimes remaking drinks if the customer was not satisfied. I also took orders and cleaned periodically throughout the day, as well as fully cleaned at night.
