In this role, I transitioned from marketing design to product development. I collaborate with the Art Director, Creative Director, and Editors to design and produce innovative, appropriate, and engaging designs across various print publications for the teachers and students. I actively volunteer to brainstorm and establish a workflow and execution for newer product video/digital elements. I provide creative, technical, and mentoring guidance to all team members and actively participate in wellness and social activity committees within the company.• Create Innovative and original designs that meet quality, timeliness, and cost expectations (within the project scope, assigned schedule, and budget items) • Take full ownership of quality, deadlines, costs, and production of assigned projects• Regularly conducting design trend and user research, as well as project-specific competitor research• Develop style guides and design samples to align with the vision and concept of the creative and editorial team while ensuring consistency across teams• Make conscious decisions about photos, illustrations, graphics, and other elements to align with the product• Perform authentic photo research and photo editing/retouching/colorizing as needed• At times, collaborate across teams to develop and design standards/guidelines/processes• Work closely with the production team to produce and deliver accurate files, sometimes meeting hundreds of deadlines over one business week.
