General Operations:• Accountable for profit/loss.• Oversee creation of import/export control procedures.• Management of the division's licenses, certificates and authorities (including but not limited to IAC,FMC, etc.)• Review and assess international staffing. *Establish and oversee ocean export process flows in conformance with applicable rules, procedures and company policy.*Work with the sales department to develop customer-specific export handling procedures for all customers. *Negotiate rates and select carriers based on transit times and optimum profit opportunity.*Supervise the related shipment based accounting functions, vendor payables, revenue generation, case reports, and shipment activity reports. *Maintain current information on tariffs, licenses, restrictions and changes in export requirements. *Manage cargo claims by timely reporting and timely correspondence to the claimant.
