I am an Associate Professor at Institute for Data Science and Engineering (DaSE), East China Normal University. The mission of our DaSE is to gather intelligence and experiences from all over the world, build internationalized collaborative innovation platform and R&D center for data science and engineering. In discipline construction, the institute will integrate the advantages of data-related disciplines such as Statistics, Data Management, Information science etc., support the development of superior disciplines at ECNU to higher level, help the fulfillment of the "discipline interaction"​ strategy of ECNU, and lead the development of related academic disciplines in China. Before I joined DaSE at ECNU on Jul. 2014, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Social Network Mining Research Group in School of Information Systems, Singapore Management University, under the supervision of Professor Ee-Peng Lim on Social Network Mining Research Group. Our SMU group focuses on mining structures and behaviors in social networks at various Web 2.0 sites, and applying the mine patterns in various search, annotation and recommendation applications. I started my PhD programme in 2008 at Fudan University, Shanghai, China, under the supervision of Professor Aoying Zhou on Uncertain Data and Streaming Data Management.

From Aug. 2010 to Feb. 2011, I also worked as an intern at Database Research Lab 3: Electronic Commerce & Database, School of Computing, National University of Singapore with Prof. Beng Chin Ooi.
