My life changed the day I woke up and realized I couldn't keep going like this...I had spent almost 9 years in the luxury retail world.. living "the dream"I was in a management position by 28I was making top dollar in the industry for my positionYet I woke up dreading my days and asking..."Is this all there is to life?"Burnout was an understatement. I became a robot. On autopilot just to get through my days.I was irritable, judgemental and isolated myself. The anxiety became too much. I started to resent my job. So I chose to take a hard look in the mirror and really face my unhappiness.This is when I started to heal my burnout.So with 0 clue, I started a relentless journey of understanding what burnout ACTUALLY is and what it's here to tell us.I reorganized my priorities so that I could continue to show up and perform at work but also make my personal time a non negotiable. I went to seminarsStudied the nervous system and somatic practicesAttended meditation retreats Studied countless health theories Worked with various holistic practitionersI had no idea if any of it was going to help me feel better and get back to myself but I knew that what I was doing before was not working. I also knew that I had a great life that I no longer wanted to feel guilty about.But through my dedicated studies and practices of taking care of myself, I started to see some obvious change. I was happier to be at my jobMy productivity increased and I was more in flowMy relationships (both professional and personal) improvedI lost stuck weightMy connection with my team drastically improved But most importantly, I felt more peaceful and present inside. I was able to take my performance to another level because now I knew how to properly refuel my tank.Now my mission is to help executives reconnect to their purpose and productivity by rewiring their relationship to stress and burnout (without having to do all the extensive research and work that I did)
