My education began at Emory University. I was an active member of the Psi Chi International Honors Society in psychology. I joined the Emory Mathematical and Computational Behavior Analysis laboratory. I was an active research assistant for two years. This position allowed me to work extensively on a study of how individual differences in attention problems impacts sensitivity to reinforcement schedules among young adults. I presented a poster on these preliminary research findings at the Southeastern Association for Behavioral Analysis (SEABA) conference and the Georgia Psychological Association (GPA) conference. After college, I accepted a position as a research assistant with the Neurobehavioral Systems Lab (NSL) at the University of Kentucky. Within six months, I was promoted to research analyst with the NSL. My responsibilities include participant recruitment, data collection, and operating research equipment. I am proficient in many statistical and neuroimaging softwares (e.g., R, MATLAB, SPM12, GingerALE, CONN, MRIcroGL)I am currently a 3rd year graduate student at the University of Kentucky in the Experimental Psychology PhD program. I conduct research on three extramurally funded research grants examining value-based decision making in individuals with cannabis, cocaine, and opioid use disorders. I have become proficient in collecting and analyzing functional magnetic neuroimaging (fMRI) data as well as conducting clinical pharmacology (human drug administration) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) experiments.
