About Miranda M.
I have a special interest in arts and culture, and my goal is to build hands-on experience with landmark creative and cultural institutions. I’ve had the great privilege to work with multiple historic venues in the DMV, including The Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center, the Yale and Peggy Gordon Center for Performing Arts, and Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts. I’ve worked in many areas of theatre and live entertainment, including production, stage, and house management; marketing and communications; sponsorship; education; and administration & finance. I’m always looking to learn new aspects of the arts sector, and I’m incredibly appreciative of all the teachers, mentors, and supervisors who have offered their insight and guidance. I am a proud graduate (cum laude; Phi Beta Kappa) of the University of Maryland, College Park, where I graduated with two Bachelor’s degrees in Communication and History (plus a minor in Spanish) in just three and a half years. During that time, I caught the travel bug and completed education abroad programs in the United Kingdom and Spain. To close out my hard work and fond memories at UMD, I delivered commencement speeches for both the Department of History and the Department of Communication at the 2019 winter commencement. Go Terps! When I am not on the clock, I enjoy cooking family recipes, finding new reads at the little free library, and brushing up on my pop culture. Another fun fact about me is that I traveled solo to nine different US cities via Amtrak.
