• Construction observation of City of Calgary transportation infrastructures and Alberta Parks Flood Recovery Projects.• Project management of City of Calgary Flood Recovery Projects.• Maintaining project files/records and verifying payment submissions by contractors for Corporate Project Management Framework requirements.• Providing assistance to project managers, engineers and environmental scientists.• Preparing preliminary and detailed design drawings for bridge and provincial highways.• Contributing to business development activities such as the completion of proposals, reports and presentations.• Conducting internal Health and Safety audits and contributing to the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee.

• Monitoring weekly labour, equipment and material costs using in-house software.• Maintaining and reporting on all short-term and long-term construction schedules.• Conducting general and site specific safety orientations to clients, visitors and subcontractors.• Tracking and managing change orders, submittals, requests for information and site instructions.

• Analyzing customer requests according to structural drawings, architectural drawings and specifications received.• Revising information to determine material and labor requirements and assemble detailed lists. • Designing steel joists with an in-house software to determine their estimated cost for material and fabricaton.• Consulting with customers to discuss their personal requirements and preparing estimates accordingly.• Drafting and detailing steel joists according to customer requirements and standard practices.• Performing steel joist and deck detailing and producing shop order documents.• Incorporating any possible modifications or changes from different revisions of the contract drawings.• Using computer-assisted drafting equipment and software, as well as the company’s custom softwares.
