I edit multilingual supports in an ELA teacher’s manual. I ensure that supports are appropriate, varied, student-centered, asset-based, and aligned to ELD standards for students at different levels of English proficiency.

I create student-facing word study lessons in a digital platform following scope-and-sequence and publishing guidelines. I design digital elements, including interactive components, storyboards, and digital games, as well as accompanying print materials. I independently manage workflow and collaborate in a digital environment using tools such as Smartsheet and Google Suite.

I taught second, third, and fifth grade using Common Core Standards in a diverse Title 1 school. I developed curriculum in the areas of literacy, social studies, social-emotional learning, and math, and was the recipient of an $8000 grant to design a year-long social studies program with a social justice focus. I adapted my lessons to support a large ELL population and students served by three SPED programs. I continued my professional development through training in culturally relevant and anti-racist pedagogy, social-emotional learning frameworks, cognitively guided math instruction, and arts integration.

I taught English to students ages 4 to 7 in a bilingual primary school and designed curriculum for a pre-school English class.

I planned and taught small group lessons focused on oral language development for grades K to 5. I also led small-group phonics instruction for grades K to 2 and supported multilingual learners in content areas. I attended biweekly trainings on working with ELL students, including GLAD strategies.

I designed and taught English lessons for beginning speakers ages 6 to 9 that integrated weekly camp themes and activities.
