Appointed to the Centre of Excellence (e-Mortgage team) to develop the online mortgage application process, a USP for AIB in Ireland (2014). As the first fully digitized end to end e-mortgage proposition in the Irish market there was an emphasis on quality delivery, exceptional customer service and continual process improvement. The nature of the channel required enhanced diligence and attentiveness in identifying anti-money laundering and fraudulent activity due to the perceived level of separation between the customer and the bank. • Submission of online mortgage applications and administration of documentation • Assessing applications for affordability, establishing repayment capacity and making recommendations for sanction. • Review and analyze customers’ accounts to identify, investigate and escalate any suspicious money laundering and terrorist financing transactions.
