I started as a Controller for Infra and Building Solutions Finland Sales units where my responsibilities included budgeting and forecasting, monthly reporting and analysis in close co-operation with the Unit managers. After a couple of months I took over Accounts Payable Manager/Team Leader tasks. In addition I was responsible for accounting and taxation issues for Uponor Suomi Oy and continued with sales unit controlling.

In Group Business Control team my job focused on UPM's global functions and UPM level variable and fixed costs. I supported global functions with deeper level cost analysis, budgets and e.g. project calculations. In addition my job included projects in cost management and reporting tools area, internal controls and structures and hierarchies ownership.

I worked in Timber business as a Business Controller. My tasks included various alternative calculations, simulations and forecasts, monthly reporting and analysis, budgets and investment calculations. In 2013, my team of three people developed a new Excel tool for drawing up the financial forecast. At the same time the entire forecasting process was streamlined, which saves significantly both controllers' and other participants' working time. Brainstorming was a team effort but I was primarily responsible for creating the actual tool.

My main responsibilities included e.g. managing stocks, inventories, cost and revenue allocations at month end closing and managing miscellaneous intra-group invoices (also a separate SAP project).

I had an overall responsibility of financial and management accounting tasks for a subsidiary of UPM-Kymmene Oyj. This included e.g. financial statements according to both Finnish accounting standards and IFRS, VAT and tax return, cost allocations and reporting to UPM Group. My most important tools were SAP, excel and Hyperion HFM.

I worked in a shared service centre in various positions, for example as an accountant for department stores and chains of department stores. In my last position I had a responsibility of financial accounting and reporting for one of Ruokakesko's subsidiaries.
