Misato Okamura is a Senior Associate within the Sustainability Assurance practice based in Melbourne. Misato has experience working in the field of ESG and external audit, and has worked in various industries including oil and gas, mining, automotive, aerospace, defense and IT. Misato has over 7 years of experience in providing financial and internal control (JSOX) auditing and assurance services to multinational companies in diverse markets, having led group audits with other PwC international offices in Hong Kong, London, Rio de Janeiro and Shenzhen. She is experienced with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA). Since February 2022, Misato has joined PwC Melbourne from PwC Japan bringing to the team further international experience from her time working on large global clients. She is also a core member of Japan Service Desk (JSD) of PwC Australia. The JSD is a network of bilingual, Japanese- and English-speaking professional staff who share the ultimate goal of helping Japanese businesses succeed across all lines of service.
