I am currently part of the RNLI Technical Training Team based at the Poole Support Centre. I train both mechanics and technicians who are full time crew, as well as volunteers who are on a progression plan to become mechanical operators on the lifeboats. The training involves a wide range of of residential courses such as Approved Engine Certificate; compression engines and outboard engines, marine systems as well as Introduction to DC Electrics. Carrying out Operator courses on the 16 m TAMAR Class All-weather Lifeboat at stations around the coast of UK and Ireland. The training allows mechanics to safely operate, diagnose, repair and maintain the machinery systems on board the lifeboat. The work both rewarding and fulfilling and allows me to support my key role and Save lives at sea.

Poole

I am currently involved with the ratification of all ALC pre-production projects for the new build Shannon lifeboat acceptance into the ALC facility. Working as part of a team to implement and exploit MS Project Server to full potential in order to programme manage effectively. Also involved in the Production planning of existing value streams as on going projects, these included Refits, TAMAR modification programme and CBM work packages on all weather life boats. Included in the duties are resourcing a very busy marine engineering workshop in support of the our delivery outputs. Currently planning the extraction of the workshop from one location into the new ALC facility.

Bulford, Wiltshire

Presently in a Headquarters responsible for 48 National sub units. Manage the Fleet availability for over 3000 vehicles and complex support equipment. Provide direction in support of equipment modifications and upgrades as well the introduction and rollout of new equipments, including new Joint Asset Management Information Systems. Provide the technical and in-service support for all technical issues with equipment including the delivery of Policy and Legislation to ensure correct fleet status. Providing leadership and direction to subordinate units to ensure planning milestones are met.

Poole Dorset

I work as the Project Manager (Value Stream) at the Lifeboat Maintenance Centre, RNLI with a great Team of Marine Engineers. I am responsible for project managing all the current work load of MERSEY Class refit, Relief lifeboat repairs and modification projects. I manage all production, resources and facilities at the LMC, whilst working for a Business Development Manager we are ensuring that the repair, refit and emergent projects are complete with least waist and a quality standard of marine engineering that ensures our Operational volunteers have the best equipment to continue to save lives at sea.

Bristol

Availability management of a Heavy Electro-Mechanical platform in-service support activities. Ensure the Platform meets agreed Joint Business Agreement requirements in accordance with all Legislative and Policy Direction. Safety Case ratification and exemption.
