CooStack Or Starve Dvd Oct 2009 - PresentThe “Stack Or Starve” movement was founded in 2005 by Coast2Coast DJ and CEO of Dough Muzik, Dough-From-Da-Go. Stack or Starve was created to inspire his associates, fellow artists, and producers to succeed. His mantra was you either, “Stack Or Starve” which meant you either stack your money or starve to death. The movement has since progressed into a brand which incorporates a mixtape series, DVD series and merchandise. Having a basis as a musical production company, Dough Muzik LLC has access to a library of over 3,000 original instrumentals for lease or sell. We offer mixtape placement and promotional packages for labels and artists. Dough Muzik and Stack or Starve, in association with Coast2Coast DJs, is committed to being the platform for undiscovered producers and under marketed artists who are representing the next level of artistic vision in the Midwest and beyond. After building for over 5 years Dough-From-Da-Go popped the question to Missy B…”Are you Stacking or Starving?”With over 15 years experience Missy B joined forces after seeing Dough’s vision and wanted to help push the movement in NYC and beyond as she agrees that good music needs more chances for exposure. Believing in Dough’s talents and production they have now partnered up to show that team-work works. As a radio personality and consultant she is actively gathering the top music artists (independent & major), grafitti artists, make-up & fashion artists, companies, producers and DJs for the Stack or Starve NYC edition including Serious Jones, Dame Grease, Lumidee, Al B to mentions a few as well as live shows, studio sessions and intimate interviews.

BuyerPhat Gear 1998 - 2002Responsible for stocking the store with the latest fashion trends and accessories. My job was to oversee the development of clothes which were targeted towards a particular market and price range. I handled all the merchandising for the store as well as worked with some fashion designers & stylists. I was also responsible for budget and the profits that the company would make, as well as how much they need to spend and they need to gain. I came up with all marketing and promotion which included a commercial with local emcees which aired on BET, MTV and local cable access. I was the first person to air a commercial on Jammin 95.5 which was Portland's first all hiphop/pop station. As fashion buyer I worked with clothing suppliers to make and select the proper clothing pieces for the target market. In which I maintained good relations with suppliers, while being able to negotiate prices with them. Even getting into the local newspaper with the Puma rep when they started their "urban division". Season changes mean that there is a new collection of clothes. The most important seasons would be autumn and spring. As fashion buyer of Phat Gear I bought clothes at least six months in advance; this means that it was my job to predict what was in or what was out of season for my target market of Portland, OR.
