As a Lab Helper and Tutor, I assisted students taking introductory computer science courses with debugging their code, and taught core programming concepts in Python, Java, and Scheme. I held weekly drop-in hours for students to get help with their homework. When my schedule allowed, I scheduled one-on-one tutoring sessions with students who needed additional help.As a Research Assistant, I worked with Oberlin professors and students to incorporate best-practices research on computer science education into our introductory course sequence. Our work aimed to improve diversity and inclusion as well as the program's student retention. In Summer 2020, I participated in a reading group discussing current research in the field. I was part of a smaller group redesigning the lab assignments for our intro Python course in Summer 2021.

I have worked several positions dedicated to helping students draft, workshop, and improve their writing. I am trained as a Writing Associate and have worked drop-in hours in the Oberlin Writing Center. In Summer 2021, I was a TA in CRWR 195: The Practice of Writing, where I led a workshop group for the semester. As part of my Writing Center work, I was a Course Writing Associate for a first-year seminar course in Fall 2021.

After my internship, I continued to design puzzles for and contribute to Alice & Smith projects, including PUBG Lore and NITE Team 4.

As an intern, I designed puzzles and in-universe assets, and contributed to narrative development. I worked on the Unknown9 Chapters and PUBG Lore ARGs.

Oberlin, Oh

I worked in a professional scene shop with primarily wood and standard theatre flats to produce sets for Oberlin productions. (Work was interrupted by COVID-19.)

I spent ten weeks contributing natural language processing research to ICT's existing projects. This included prototyping, researching new concepts, writing up my work, and presenting a poster. I used BERT and other cutting-edge machine learning technologies.

I instructed children ages 7 to 14 in Java and Python programming, LEGO robotics, and other technologies. I was also responsible for supervising campers during mealtimes, recess, and classes.
