I previously served on the Executive Board of the Solano HCC for 6 years; as Chairman of the VCA (formerly Vallejo Business Alliance); appointed to Vallejo Participatory Budgeting Steering Committee; Vallejo Naval & Historical Museum Board of Directors; appointed to San Mateo County Charter Review Committee; appointed to San Mateo County Criminal Justice Council. I founded two independent insurance agencies: Gonzalez Insurance Agency (San Mateo) followed by DAVCO Financial & Insurance Services (San Francisco). In 2023, I partnered with Tax Prep Advocates and Dreams Business Resources to help small to medium sized businesses get tax credits, make their websites ADA compliant, provide simple & fast business capital when their bank (s) can’t help, eliminate IT hassles & save money with PC Cloud computing, and save money on payroll taxes while improving employee retention.In addition, having previously served on the Board of the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, it’s been my experience that there are essentially 3 things that drives a Chamber of Commerce: 1. They want to be able to offer industry leading products to their members. 2. Offer products and services that will encourage a business to become a member. 3. Look for ways to make more money so they can host more events and spend more money on marketing.
