Contributions raised though events like the Heart Ball support important cardiovascular research and educational programs right here in our community that help save lives. Annual Black tie event celebrating the arts, culture and philanthropic spirit of the Houston Community. Over 800 business and community leaders come together to help raise funds to support the mission of the American Heart Association.

The Women’s Fund is a non-profit organization that has been active in women’s health since 1979. We educate Houston-area women, girls and families about health through focused seminars, curriculum-based classes, and publications. We provide individuals with the tools they need to be advocates for their own health.We reach out to all women, but because there is a greater need in some communities we focus on those. To address barriers to health care services, high rates of chronic health conditions, and low rates of preventive screenings, The Women’s Fund works simultaneously on several fronts.

Professional Experience THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETYSr. Campaign Manager-Light The Night Walk-2008 to-August 2015 Responsible for the management & Implementation of the Light The Night Walk campaigns Surpassed all fundraising goals for 7 consecutive Walk years Met our goal of $1.4 Million Dollars in 2014 Helped to meet the chapter goal of $4 Million Dollars Oversee the generation of revenue through fundraising Cultivate new sponsorship, corporate development and maintain former sponsor relationships Develop and implement plans for assigned special events. Responsibilities include; budgets, timelines and logistic planning and implementation Prepare and coordinate communication channels to include; Radio, Television, PR, and Print. Develop marketing materials for events Maintain campaign correspondence, financial records, and statistical reports Lead Executive Leadership Committee Plan, organize, and lead recruitment events Plan, create, and organize events Organize guest speakers for events Prepare event scripts for speakers Prepare Power Point presentations Create, organize and expedite all event invitations Maintain and create relationships through networking events and personal connections Manage staff specific duties and responsibilities  Manage temp or interns specific duties and responsibilities One on One strategic meetings with teams and Executive leadership to develop team revenue
