Joined Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) as a part of the Implementation Team for the $3.2 Billion DFW Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program (TRIP). Acting on behalf of the DFW Airport as owners representative managed the design and design management of the overall renovation of Terminal B ($525M construction). Also managed the design and construction of several key projects at Terminal B including the new B-D Connector FIS Corridor ($20Million) which is a sterile corridor that converts 3 existing domestic Regional Jet Gates to International arrival gates. Managed the design and construction of a new stand alone 10 Gate Regional Jet Terminal (Terminal B North Stinger Terminal $40 Million) located on the north side of Terminal B beyond the North Skylink station. Also Managed the Terminals B ($17 Million) and E ($40Million) Baggage Handling Systems. Assisted FNI in winning several Airport projects in the state of Texas.

Recruited to lead and build Baker’s Aviation Practice in the west United States.Also recruited in anticipation of the acquisition of the LPA Group which boosts Bakers standing on the ENR list for Aviation from # 21 to #11 (Revenue increase From $15Million/yr to $45 Million/yr).Developed a strategy for growing the aviation practice for the West (Texas to North to Canada Border and west to Pacific including Alaska and Hawaii).Focused on Strategic alliances for teaming and prime pursuits.Successfully proposed on nine airport opportunities immediately after joining Baker which resulted in 8 shortlists and three wins including a strategic win at DFW airport.

Recruited into the Consulting and Engineering Division to build the Aviation practice.Developed a national strategy for growing the aviation practice (organically and through acquisition) which included selling internally to client service groups, as well as, pursuing strategic projects at airports.Oversaw the development of the Aviation portion of the “Transportation Tool Kit” that was presented to the client service managers corporate wide to assist them in selling transportation services.Met with each region of the company to develop strategic pursuits that resulted in winning work with many existing client airports and new client airports including AUS, SJC, STL, PNB and DAL.Participated in many of these projects as Technical/Principal advisor. Recruited by Carter & Burgess to kick off the TSA program and continue to build the Aviation practice.Successfully initiated the TSA - AIP/OTA program as Program Manager leading a group of engineers and architects to oversee the design, delivery and installation of in-line Explosive Detection Machines (EDS) for the Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) at 23 domestic Airports.The TSA AIP/OTA program was the only task order to finish its first year with a healthy profit.As a National Aviation Resource Manager for a region of the US pursued and won the Lake Charles New Terminal Design project to replace the existing terminal destroyed by Hurricane Rita.In 2006 Pursued Airport projects in Texas and the Central US and was successful on winning four in a row.Successfully proposed and won the Sacramento Terminal Modernization Program ($1.6 Billion estimated) for C-B's first win on a $1Billion plus Program Management Job.Served as chairman of the Terminal Committee for ACC in 2005 and received acknowledgement for contribution to the TSA Guidelines for Planning, Design and Construction (published in June 2006)Represented Building Programs in a major Aviation Campaign beginning in early 2006. Attended and represented C-B at several major Airport/Aviation Conferences.

Also managed $100 Million of work at International Terminal D at DFW which included the outbound and inbound baggage system with in-line baggage screening, Jetbridges, Aircraft Parking, 400HZ and pre-conditioned air systems, vehicle charging stations and potable water.

Joined the BAE marketing team during a transition period to redirect the company from an engineering based manufacturing company to a marketing based manufacturing company resulting in re-engineering of processes, procedures and becoming ISO 9001 certified.Reported to the director of marketing and worked directly with the president of the company.Responsible for forming strategic alliances with domestic companies for BAE.Led the effort in doubling BAE’s Operations and Maintenance (O&M) business in 1998. Significantly increased project backlog for the next three years (1999-2002). This resulted in over $100 million in sales.Represented BAE at the Airport Consultants Council (ACC), AAAE, ACI and Passenger Terminal World conferences.
