I have been a lifelong technology enthusiast, beginning in high school where I took every technology class offered, and began building gaming computers and other fun projects with friends. After high school I pursued a career in law enforcement. Law enforcement was a very competitive field at the time, so I put myself through the police academy. After obtaining a part-time role as a sworn law enforcement officer I put myself through various specialized classes in my own time, which led to a full-time career in law enforcement, rising to my current rank of Detective. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving a great community. My ethos has always been to treat others as I would want to be treated, and when possible to leave them in a better position than before we met. My love of technology never abated and in 2018 I began the B.S. Cybersecurity program with Montreat College I graduated with honors in 2023. Now that my degree is finished I have focused all of my energy on digging deeper into Cybersecurity topics, tools, and skills. I have since obtained my ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, CompTIA Security+, and will be obtaining my Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate certification in November 2023. While accomplishing these goals and working full time I am also making my way through training modules on TryHackMe, and HackTheBox. I enjoy working out, playing basketball, video games, comedies of any kind, listening to tech podcasts and spending time outdoors with my family. I am looking forward to proving myself when given my first Cybersecurity opportunity and improving the future of myself and my family.
