Site Service Engineer
CurrentPreviously part of a 2 man team (myself and my manager)until recently but now Working alone for Cbre at Alstom dealing with day to day issues with regards to the running of an operational railway depot that services the pendolino class 390 virgin fleet of trains.My job involves electrical,plumbing ,mechanial work as well as legally documenting all work carried out and also running the infrastructure dept,this includes attending meetings,conference calls,dealing with clients and obtaining quotations and then reporting back to my manager .I am 17th edition qualified, forklift truck driver trained and also in house trained to drive wyselift and cherry pickers. We are an understaffed department but i do pride myself on the fact that given the constraints, I cope extremely well under pressure and deal with the day to day pressure as it comes.I have been in this current job for 12 years,Prior to moving onto infrastructure i was a team member maintaining the MK 2 and MK 3 Virgin trains,class 66 Diesel locomotives,class 86 and 87 electric locomotives,08 Shunt Engines and Pendolino class 390 tilting trains, both electrical fault finding and also componant changes and major examination and testing in order to have the vehicles ready to go into service on a strict timescale.
