Assisted the Superintendent with day to day management of the staff. Working closely with all members of the staff to accomplish tasks and projects until completion. Managed the installation of sod and its grow in, including, water management, fertilization, pesticide applications, and cultural practices. Aided in the design and installation of new irrigation during a bunker renovation (2019-2020) Daily scouting for pest and environmental damage, as well as implementing corrective practices. Managed the installation of Trackman Range (2022), working with contractors, our staff, and the staff from Trackman to get the system up and running for the membership.

Nekoosa, Wisconsin

Assisted in preparing Sand Valley to open for the season. Hand watered greens to prevent desiccation, as well as removal of snow fence throughout the golf course. Prepared high traffic areas on the course for opening by removing and laying sod. Monitored the moisture of the greens with a TDR, as well as checked green speeds with a stimpmeter. Prepared the golf course for daily play through various types of mowing and watering.

Horticultrue Research Station

Assisted the manager with keeping research plots maintained and installing new research plots. Also Helped establish a new sports turf field by spreading fertilizer and reseeding areas that needed it. Along with maintaining the surrounds of the new field by spreading fertilizer mowing and adding erosion blankets.

Reno, Nevada

I worked closely with the superintendent and assistant superintendents to maintain a high quality playing surface for members and their guests. This included fertilizer and pesticide applications, mowing different playing surfaces (greens, tees, and rough), changing pin placements, maintaining pond quality, drainage projects, laying sod, tearing out and replacing bunker faces. As well preparing the course for the 2018 PGA Tour event The Barracuda Championship, which included cleaning up the course after a flash flood. This included replacing the sand in the bunkers, clean sand, and rock off of the fairways and remove rock and soil that washed over cart paths making access to holes difficult almost impossible. During the tournament I rolled the back nine greens to maintain a consistent putting surface.

Boston, Mass

Prepared the playing surface for games along with events being held on the field. Assisted in re-sodding areas behind the infield and making sure the areas were safe for the players. Actively participated in water management practices by hand watering the infield, foul territory surrounds, and the outfield, along with the infield skin to prevent the clay from drying out.

Reno, Nevada Area

Assist the Superintendent and assistants with day to day operation of the course management. Getting hands on experience with spraying, for example getting the sprayers ready to be used on greens and fairways, and also operating the sprayers. Working one on one with other crew members on areas they are extremely skilled at like laying sod, edging bunkers, maintaining bunker sand depth and checking moisture on greens during a PGA tour event.

Boone, Iowa

Trained new employees on all aspects of turf management. Gained valuable experience in leadership and enhanced my skills of working work an irrigation system that had many problems. I also worked one on one with the superintendent on establishing new turf after a renovation project.
