Lead Mechanical Engineer
Current• Engineering support for the Oil and Gas industry and multiple power stations. This includes technical support, operational support, design verifications, management of change (MOC) support / implementation, Root Causes Analysis (RCAs), QA / asset integrity support, RBI studies, developing inspection scopes, P&ID audits, project management, datasheet creation, writing work scopes and procedures and more.• Engineering design and detailing of custom equipment using; Solidworks, multiple FEA packages and hand calculations according to relevant Australian and International standards. Designs include; pipework, pressure vessels, tanks, lifting beams, platforms, various structural steel, weld design, hydraulic access equipment, hydraulic power packs, hydraulic machinery, equipment guarding and more. • Writing and implementing fabrication QA systems and documentation within an AS/NZS ISO 9001 quality system.• Writing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Compiling Manufacturer Data Reports (MDRs) and reviewing QA reports from third parties.• Multi-disciplinary project management, including both internal and subcontractor management• Load testing of manufactured and client supplied parts to relevant standards.• Project management of multiple projects from start to finish, from concept design through to onsite commissioning• Supervision of other engineers, draftsman, workshop personnel and project teams• Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment assembly, installation and commissioning.• Hydrostatic/pressure testing of various equipment including; pipework, pressure vessels and tanks.• Installation and commissioning of various products.• Writing various workplace procedures including; drafting / design procedures, hydrostatic testing procedures, manufacturing procedures, PQRs/WPSs, commissioning procedures, QA procedures, safety management plans (SMPs) and more.• Development of; permit requests, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) / JSEAs and Risk assessments.
