I am a current fourth year undergraduate student studying a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at Griffith University. Over the past three years I have been fortunate enough to have had work experience in both retail and industrial industries including various coal mines/ coal terminals and rural project work.Throughout the university trimesters in which I am studying, I work as a casual employee at Supercheap Auto to ensure I can comfortably work around university hours. This job brings great practice to customer service and working with a team of staff to achieve great customer satisfaction. During my university holidays, I spend my time working full time for contracting companies as a trades assistant/ sand blaster and spray painter in Mackay, currently at McElligotts Contractors and previously for DeGoey Contractors. From these jobs, I have gained massive experiences from dealing with a customer base to working on big engineering projects such as the Ship loader and Berth Replacement Project in Hay Point and various shutdowns in both the mines and other rural projects. These jobs have allowed me to expand my job site knowledge and given me the skills to ensure jobs are done in an efficient and safely manner to meet required deadlines.
