Profile bio

About Mitchell Lange

I have worked as a highly motivated Engineer at a variety of companies so far in my short professional career. I strive for perfection and personal development, acquiring skills in manufacturing, design and R&D from experienced professionals. Most recently I have moved to Salt Lake City and taken a job at Foxconn as a Manufacturing Engineer. It was a very new facility when I joined which has required a lot of developmental work. Not only systems and processes but a whole new culture that motivates and empowers our employees and ultimately benefits our customer(AWS) and my fellow employees. Primary example of this is me creating the safety team.Previously, I had returned to Glasfloss Industries in a process engineering roll. I had worked there before and entered a more senior roll after graduation. Primarily assisting in development of automated manufacturing equipment, department layouts, assembly/machining processes and inter-department communications.Beforehand I was a working at Broan as a Design Engineer in the Kitchen Ventilation department. I had an internship there in the Summer of 2017, before graduating from UW-Milwaukee in December of 2017. During this time I; have made design modifications to production products and drawings, performed root cause analysis on supplier driven assembly issues, designed fixtures for tear down and testing processes, released new products to be manufactured in house as well as other locations in Mexico and Canada, and completed all necessary approval and system entry paperwork. Before my time at Broan I completed a co-op at Harley-Davidson as a Manufacturing Engineer in the Assembly area of their Powertrain facility. I was able to continue part-time during my final two semesters of school. While at Harley I gained valuable manufacturing experience, recording standard work documentation for processes currently in effect as well as developing new processes which often would require ordering or designing new equipment, fixtures or tools for production inspection use. In addition, I happened to start my co-op just before the launch of the Milwuakee-8 engine which was a great example of a product launch to observe because of the quality that is required for powertrain production. My first job was at Glasfloss Industries when I was 14 years old. I worked five summers in the shipping department before transferring to R&D. Their department was small and very tight-knit, this is where I gained a large amount of basic Engineering knowledge and also became very familiar with CAD, machining, and heavy tool use.

Listed skills include Microsoft Office, Autocad, Forklift Operator, Ptc Pro/Engineer, and 10 others.
