I am a senior statistical research scientist at the Bureau of Iowa College Aid. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Iowa and have 16 years of experience in P–20 education. I use quantitative techniques to identify systems of inequality in the P–20 education system and offer policy recommendations on how the local, state, and national education systems can alleviate these issues. Previously, I was a middle school teacher in Omaha Public Schools. I currently volunteer as a member of the Iowa City Community School District Board of Directors.
