My name is Mitchell Long, I am a results-driven young professional with valuable experience in the public and private sector. My experience primarily includes financial and accounting work, strategic planning, applied research and data reporting. I am a self-motivated, data-driven individual who is passionate about applying oneself to their utmost capabilities, whilst growing and learning within new environments. I have professional experience most recently with ABEX Insurance, MD Financial Management and the Canadian Federal Government. These positions allowed me to gain valuable experience in Accounts Receivable & Payable, journal entry, income statements, creation and editing of business cases, salary envelopes, invoice processing, training and leadership experience, communicative skills, and much more. I have academic expertise in political science with extensive research in international relations and anthropology as I am a graduate of Carleton University, having majored in Global and International Studies with a specialization in Global Politics. Along with some of the experiences mentioned, I am eager to learn and grow within my workplace and take a true passion in my work.When I’m not working or studying, you can find me searching for local hidden treasures around the city.
