I am an Associate at Paretohealth, in the Start Strong Program. Work was always desired since before my teens, getting in with customer service and sales. These jobs were usually at food markets, and I learned that communication is key, and that you need to communicate with everyone differently in order to make the sale. I have always loved making sales and communicating with customers. After my first marketing class I knew it was for me. I want to pursue marketing and hopefully work in advertising, more specifically social media advertising. I have had many hands on experiences with sales at my jobs, having to deal with every single type of personality you could think of. At my previous jobs I have had to deal with adversity like learning new skills, communication skills, and dealing with rude/bad customers. I almost have profected dealing with customers, taking a different approach to each one in order to make the sale. After my first marketing class it really clicked that I am really good at sales, and grabbing the customers attention. I have learned to be personable yet professional, and I am not afraid to stick my neck out in order to make a sale or satisfy a customer. I love to learn new skills, network and expand my knowledge every day, therefore I am very involved on campus. I am apart of the business fraternity on campus, as well as the BusinessLeader Fellowship Program. These both help me set goals for my business career and help me network and learn skills. I sit in on presentations from people in all different industries. I am also in clubs like Business of Sports club, and investment club. These will provide weekly meetings to track the markets, and sports in the business world. With all I am involved in on campus, I use every second of every meeting to my advantage. I want to expand my network and meet people in the business field because one conversation can create the opportunity of a lifetime. This helps me with my communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
