Mick was born in Oklahoma City and has resided in the OKC area most of his life. He earned his engineering degree from the University of Oklahoma and his law degree from Oklahoma City University. His engineering experience has an emphasis in manufacturing from several engineering roles including those at York International Corporation and International Environmental Corporation. As a registered patent attorney, his legal experience has an emphasis in intellectual property matters for several clients including IBM and Seagate Technology.
