Skilled clinical research professional with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes, bridging the knowledge gap between communities and clinical trials, and streamlining communication and workflow between sites and sponsors. I bring experience managing multiple clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient safety throughout all study stages. I bring a comprehensive understanding of study protocols, informed consent and data collection procedures, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and AE/SAE reporting. I excel in developing and implementing efficient recruitment strategies, coordinating site visits, and fostering a sense of safety, education, and trust with my patients. My background in collegiate coaching has helped to develop a strong skillset based in interpersonal communication with individuals from diverse backgrounds and points of view.It isn’t just the technical aspects of clinical research that are a draw for me; I am deeply invested in the human side of research. Like every student-athlete I spoke with as a coach, every patient enrolled in a trial is someone with their own unique stories and experiences. By actively listening to and addressing their concerns, fears, and hopes, and by actively reaching out and connecting with people from all different backgrounds within our communities, clinical research becomes more inclusive and representative of those communities that we have the privilege to serve.I always welcome the opportunity to discuss this industry, how we can improve, and what we’re doing right. Don’t be afraid to reach out! Let's connect and explore how we can collaborate to make a significant impact within our careers and in this industry as a whole. I'm easy to reach - shoot me a message!

Senior Clinical Research CoordinatorU.S. Dermatology Partners Oct 2023 - Apr 2024Phoenix, Arizona, United StatesOnce I moved to the senior clinical research coordinator role, I oversaw and mentored site research assistants in patient communication, conduction of study visits, and daily operations as a whole. I trained phlebotomy, ECGs, vitals, laboratory processing/shipment, EDC use, source documentation, regulatory, and other related tasks. QC checks for patient visits, regulatory documents, data entry, etc. was also in my realm of responsibilities. While delegating observational studies to the RA, I continued to run all interventional trials but continued to monitor the observational trials and provide guidance, training, and oversight. I also drove site capacity from primarily satellite capabilities to main site functionality via physician recruitment, patient recruitment/referrals, and expansion of study staff. This role encompassed all duties and responsibilities of a CRC with the additional tasks mentioned above.Overall site enrollment increased by 273%, observational study enrollment increased by 238%, and interventional study enrollment increased by 900%. -
Clinical Research CoordinatorU.S. Dermatology Partners Jan 2023 - Oct 2023Phoenix, Arizona, United StatesAs the primary coordinator, I was tasked with building a research team and running all observational and interventional clinical trials at multiple sites within the practice. As such, it was my responsibility to spearhead recruitment, enrollment, and visits for all ongoing and upcoming studies. General tasks involved with these responsibilities included source documentation, AE/SAE reporting, PD minimization and documentation, data entry and query resolution within EDCs, and recruitment calls and EMR screening. Patient visits within our studies typically involved phlebotomy, injections, ECGs, vitals, and lab processing/shipment, in addition to medical history, medication, and surgical review with patients and their medical records. As the primary coordinator for all studies, I was also overseeing all IP shipment & accountability, dose preparation, IP administration, and IP dispensation with all patients at all sites. Accountability of supplies, lab kits, shipping materials, dry ice, and any other material needs at each site were my responsibility as well.Lastly, taking over research in a practice relatively new to research, it was my role to bridge the gaps and form relationships with all areas of clinic staff so that both arms of the practice would not only respect each other, but be willing to help and/or accommodate when needed. Bridging these gaps and helping to normalize research within the practice helped to expand physician interest in participation, leading to expansion of the number of investigators and, in turn, the expansion of patient populations, patient bandwidth, and physician personalities catering to different patient needs. -
Clinical Research AssistantCct Research Sep 2022 - Dec 2022Phoenix, Arizona, United StatesAs a clinical research assistant, my hand was in many areas of the day-to-day of our site to support running the ongoing trials. I would complete full patient screening, enrollment, follow-up, and phone visits, including consenting, medical history, questionnaires, ECGs, vitals, injections, and phlebotomy. I would complete CRFs/eCRFs, maintain patient Source/eSource documentation, as well as recognize and report AEs, SAEs, protocol deviations, and unanticipated problems within our studies. Efficiently entering data into EDC, resolving/answering queries, and keeping paper documentation up to date were all common tasks within my role in our team. I also took on the role of being both blinded and unblinded in the studies we ran, including being the unblinded lead for one of our highest enrolling studies. It was my responsibility to accurately complete IP accountability, prepare doses of IP for administration, administer IP, and manage IP shipment. I was the main point of contact for sponsors, maintained the blind for our other staff members, and trained new staff in the aforementioned tasks. -
Program Director/Head Collegiate CoachDrury University Mar 2021 - Sep 2022Springfield, Missouri, United StatesAs the head of a collegiate program, the daily operations change depending on the needs of the program at any given time. Recruiting occupies the most time with constant outreach and communication with individuals and their guardians to make sure they'd be a good fit for the program as well as to make sure they are in compliance with our regulatory bodies. This communication takes place over phone calls, Zoom/video calls, email exchanges, and in-person meetings. Other operations include creating and running practice plans as well as coming up with curriculum for team meetings regarding strategy, teamplay, and mental performance. Data collection occurs consistently throughout the year and team plans are adapted to meet any changing needs. Collegiate coaching also involves complex communication with a diverse group of individuals. Not only are inner-team conflicts dealt with, but personal interactions and guidance with student-athletes involving their academics, athletics, and personal lives consistently occur. When working with student-athletes, I am essentially “on call” 24/7, helping and offering guidance whenever needed or stepping in whenever a problem arises that needs to be resolved. When working with so many individuals, communication styles need to be easily modified to fit the needs of the person being spoken with or being coached.I also act as the single point of contact between the student-athletes, parents, administrators, staff, outside vendors, governing bodies, sponsors, and anyone else involved with or connected to the program. This, along with the daily operations directly with the team, involves managing many projects at one time while creating and maintaining strong relationships with everyone involved. -
Medical ScribeScribeamerica Oct 2020 - Feb 2021Fort Wayne, Indiana, United StatesI worked alongside the lead physician and transcribed dictation through Cerner software for patient charts including their HPI, ROS, history, PE, orders, results, and treatment plan. In order to maintain accurate documentation, I identified and corrected grammatical errors, spelling errors, and any inconsistencies within the report. Each chart was then verified and any phraseology or chart organization was modified to the preference of the healthcare provider. When needed, I would find specific entries, scans, or test results for the physician to reference during the patient visit. Each patient chart was prepared prior to patient visit, and sometimes prior to physician’s arrival, and each chart was completed in real time throughout the patient-physician interaction to maintain department efficiency. -
Collegiate CoachIndiana Institute Of Technology Sep 2018 - Feb 2020Fort Wayne, Indiana, United StatesUnder the supervision of the head coaches, I helped to create and run practice plans and meetings focused on mental and physical development, primarily with women’s varsity team and men’s junior varsity and developmental teams. My responsibilities as a coach grew from primarily focusing on physical game development to spearheading many efforts with mental performance, teamplay, and conflict resolution within the teams. As a previous student-athlete at that same institution, the perspective I brought was unique in that I better understood the academic burdens the student-athletes faced, the feelings and perceptions of student-athletes to the head coaches, and their preferred communication styles. While working directly with the varsity team and head coaches, I offered constant input from my perspective and from my interactions with student-athletes who felt more comfortable speaking directly with me instead of other staff. I was actively involved with resolving team conflicts with the rest of the coaching staff, building the junior varsity and developmental teams to the standards the head coaches desired for varsity, and helped recruit potential student-athletes visiting the university and practices. -
Sales Associate, Omni-FulfillmentKohl'S Jul 2016 - Aug 2017Fort Wayne, Indiana, United StatesDuring my time at Kohl's, I had 2 main roles. The first role was as a floor person sales associate. As a sales associate, I would help people find specific items throughout the store that they were looking for, help them find a product that would fit their needs, direct them online to purchase a product there, or do more specific tasks like measuring them for formal wear. When on the floor, all customer questions, concerns, and complaints in the section of the store I was assigned were resolved. When needed, I would move between departments to help out struggling sections. Lastly, I would also clean, organize, and stock displays and shelves throughout the store with new or returned product. The second role was that in omni-fulfillment where I would fulfill online orders by going through the store, finding the items that individuals purchased online, nicely package them, and prepare them for shipping to the address listed on the order. While out on the floor doing this, I would also help with occasional customers who asked for assistance. -
