Mercer-Bucks Orthopedics is a private Orthopedic Group with office in multiple locations in Bucks County Pennsylvania and Mercer County NJ. For my first 4 years of employment my role was primarily focused on inpatient rounding at Saint Mary's Medical Center (a level 2 trauma center) in Langhorne Pennsylvania, Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol Pennsylvania, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton New Jersey, Capital health in Pennington New Jersey, and Princeton Medical Center in Plains. New Jersey. During this time I also assisted in surgeries including but not limited to orthopedic trauma, spine, arthroscopic sports medicine, total joints (shoulders, hips, and knees), upper extremity, and orthopedic oncology. More recently I have moved into the outpatient setting with my own independent office hours focusing primarily on knee and shoulder complaints, but also general orthopedics. I continue to assist in surgeries for all subspecialties but primarily focused on knee and shoulder surgeries including joint replacements and a multitude of sports medicine procedures. In addition to my day-to-day responsibilities I also take call from patients and all emergency room's including first call at Saint Mary's Medical Center (a trauma center, and continue to round on inpatients and assist with surgeries over the weekend when on-call. Since we go to multiple hospitals I have experience with many different EMR systems including: Athena, Cerner, Meditech, Epic, and Sunrise Clinical Manager. I have also served as the liaison for students that rotate with our practice; as well as, a preceptor for physician assistant, nurse practitioner, and medical students.

Capital health system provides emergency services at their Regional Medical Center location in Trenton New Jersey, Capital health Hopewell in Pennington New Jersey, and a satellite location in Deborah heart and lung Center Pemberton Township New Jersey. I worked in a per diem capacity with capital evaluating a multitude of emergency medicine complaints. Ultimately my workload at my primary position with Mercer-Bucks orthopedics increased and I resigned my privileges.

The Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit provides emergency intervention for children experiencing significant suicidal ideation, have made a suicidal attempt, suffering from drug intoxication, suffering from psychoses, or suffering from any other psychiatric illness requiring emergency intervention. Constant attendants ensure patients safety via camera system, 15 minute checks referred to as roaming, and one-to-one surveillance if necessary. Constant attendants must have good interpersonal skills, have an ability to understand variable levels of emotional distress, be compassionate, have refined skills for de-escalation of patients, and be ready to physically restrain patients in a safe manor when necessary. The role of constant attendants at nationwide would be labeled as mental health tech at other psychiatric institutions.

Monitored patrons; performed first aid; performed multiple rescues of drowning patrons; maintained facilities including repair of lights, repair of suit dryers, measuring and adjusting chemical levels, and cleaning. I also taught swim lessons and helped coach summer swim leagues.

Roles here were similar to that of the Hubbard Community Pool less the teaching and coaching roles.
