• Duty Engineer for 12 hours of the day, solely responsible for operation and maintenance of engine room and all associated equipment
• Logbook entries and affiliated paperwork: job hazard analyzes, lock-out tag-out, corrective maintenance reports, preventative maintenance, oily record book entries, bunkering paperwork
• Generator servicing, purifier cleaning and servicing, as well as marine sanitation device cleaning and servicing
• EMD medium speed main propulsion maintenance and repairs; 710 series 20 cylinder tier 3 emission compliant. PLC troubleshooting and experience with electronic operations of control cabinet
• Experience with Intercon ATB pin coupling systems, particularly 64” model; including Intercon capstans, mooring winches, and anchor windlasses

• Duty Engineer for 12 hours of the day, solely responsible for operation and maintenance of engine room and all associated equipment
• Logbook entries and affiliated paperwork: job hazard analyzes, lock-out tag-out, maintenance reports
• John Deere generator servicing, Alfa Laval purifier cleaning and servicing, as well as marine sanitation device cleaning and servicing
• EMD main engine flywheel replacement, valve lash adjustments, oil changes, water pump and oil pump replacements, as well as power pack replacements
• Experience with Intercon ATB pin coupling systems, particularly 64” model; including Intercon capstans, mooring winches, and anchor windlasses

• Duty Engineer for 12 hours of the day, solely responsible for operation and maintenance of engine room and all associated equipment
• Monthly preventive maintenance of all engine room associated equipment, i.e. Steering gear, main engines, auxiliary generators, start air compressors, Intercon ATB pin system, MSD and associated piping, etc
• Barge to vessel / pier to vessel fuel, lube oil, slop oil transfers; associated oily record log book entries, log-out tag-out, and confined space entry permits
• MTU high speed diesel main propulsion maintenance and servicing, i.e. oil changes, coolant flush, valve lash adjustments, fuel filter changes, etc.

• Machinery room rounds, investigated all alarms reported via radio from the bridge (bridge had control of plant on this instillation), led bunkering operations, weekly reports and maintenance checks
• Logbook entries and affiliated paperwork, preventative maintenance work orders on all equipment designated to engineering department, experience with Maximo permitting program
• Valve lash adjustments, oil filter servicing, governor inspections, cam and roller inspections, crank web deflection testing, rig saver testing, over-speed, lube oil pressure and other safety shutdown testing
• Rig service air compressor servicing and maintenance, thruster HPU pump replacement, thruster hydraulic drive motor replacement, MSD maintenance, HP wash system for rig pump replacement

Cadet shipping experience aboard USNS Big Horn Fleet Replenishment Oiler. Performed engine room rounds, maintenance, and repair of ship's equipment including: main engines, generators, pumps, compressors, deck machinery, and all related piping and electrical systems. Also including all similar 3rd A/E duties and logs associated with the position.
