Building Management & Works - Government Campus Network

Currently operating under the Government campus network (GCN), I am the first point of contact for multiple GCN buildings around Western Australia, including our brand new site at Karratha. Tasks I complete on a daily basis involve customer service side of things such as Troubleshooting network and telephony issues, configuring ports and switches for network access & configuring of Cisco telecommunications products and features, inclusive of a wide range of Cisco phones and products. Weekly Basis - I am the Change coordinator for the Government Campus Network, I overlook all changes to be made to the Gov Network and provide approval or Decline due to specified reasons. Liaising with external providers to gain insight into their implementation plans is a main task inclusive.Monthly Basis - Manually running and completing monthly and quarterly statistic reports to provide to clients / customers and for internal use at a management level. this includes manually inputting data into spreadsheets, calculating formulas and retrieving the end results.

My role entitles me to Control the Service Desk queue and technicians, I am in charge of making sure that at any point in time there are no customers waiting on hold in our queue, this means keeping call times to a minimum.I have a main duty of advising our technicians of the next best escalation point or of the resolution to their current issue, due to my tenor and experience most issues I am able to resolve at first point of contacts. there are many more roles entitled in this position but these are the main.
