In 2018, I started my post secondary education at the University Of Toronto pursuing a pathway in forensic chemistry and microscopy. During my time in the program, I gained skills in various microscopy techniques including, scanning electron microscopy, confocal microscopy and fluorescent microscopy. I also obtained valuable lab skills such as spectrophotometry, chromatography, micro-pipetting and streak plating. In 2021 I changed directions and transferred into biotechnology at Conestoga College. In this program, I have further expanded on previously listed skills and gained new in lab skills such as gram staining. In 2018 I began tutoring and teaching math, biology and chemistry to high school and postsecondary students. This experience helped guide me on the path I am currently on, pursuing a career in teaching at the post secondary level. Being exposed to the industry through various teaching jobs, I have gained communication, problem solving and leadership skills necessary to help me become successful in the future. As of June 2024 I started a position as a AP biology teacher for ASAA. During the 2024/2025 academic year I will be attending Humber College for the Clinical Bioinformatics Graduate Certificate Program.
