As well as in London, UK, the team comprises education consultants based in the US, UAE and Europe, who provide support for our families who are relocating to, or who are already based in these regions. Johanna and her team can assist families whose first language is not English.Prior to founding Lumos Education, Johanna was a civil servant in Whitehall, UK central government, working on science policy, competition policy & on the accession of 10 countries invited to join the EU in the 2002 Copenhagen Summit. She ran a private school for the Lawn Tennis Association, helping Junior Wimbledon players to access an academic education in-house alongside their sports training.As a boarding child, and having extensively relocated, Johanna understands the challenges facing London and international families. Concerned by the rise in mental health issues faced by young people, Johanna campaigns for education reform, curriculum changes and less exam pressure for students. In her charity work, Johanna is committed to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4: to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning for all. To this end, she works with the International Investment Center in Geneva. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, playing the piano and violin, modern foreign languages and travel.
