My name is Mitchell Conroy and I am currently enrolled part-time at Durham College to graduate with a diploma in Police Foundations and to further my career in law enforcement. Over the past year I have successfully completed my restricted and unrestricted firearms license while also completing my general first aid and CPR. Currently, I work full-time at Weedman Lawncare as a Sr. Technician Supervisor in the summer months, and in the winter months, I work as a Marketing Supervisor. This job has taught me a lot in regards to thinking on my feet and solving issues people may have and also trying to resolve them in a quick and professional manner. I am constantly on my own working under little-to-no supervision which has helped me become an independent worker who is very trusted and can think of resolutions without help from others. Driving on city streets and learning neighbourhoods, while speaking with hundreds of people weekly and building trust and relationships with these people has enabled me to grab an understanding of what a patrol officer could be doing daily. These skills I have developed through my employment will enable me to perform to my highest ability in law enforcement.
