I am currently a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst pursuing an undergraduate degree in Microbiology. I have a major interest in epidemiology and infectious disease and I am looking for opportunities in laboratories to get more involved with disease control and prevention. I have built up numerous lab skills throughout my time at UMass Amherst. I have taken multiple lab courses to strengthen my abilities in a lab setting. Along with lab courses at UMass in the Microbiology Department, I have also taken part in multiple years of research in the Webley Lab at UMass. I also held an internship working directly with the Environmental Affairs Coordinator in Dartmouth, MA, which helped me bolster my professional skills. I've built up invaluable leadership skills required to achieve major goals within a group setting through my time as the Drum Major of the award winning Dartmouth High School Marching Band. Along with being a part of the marching band, I was also a section leader for the bass section of the acclaimed Dartmouth High School Orchestra. I look forward to improving my lab and professional skills with any opportunities that may present themselves.
