In May 2023, I graduated Magna cum Laude with a B.A. in History from the University of South Carolina, including minors in Education and Military Science. Throughout my undergrad experience, I focused on perfecting my organizational leadership, public advocacy, and educational communication skills. I spent all four years in undergrad training with the ROTC program at U of SC, providing me with invaluable experience in leadership positions and offering me the opportunity to graduate with a commission in the U.S. Army Reserves and as a Distinguished Military Graduate. I worked to reduce financial barriers of entry to fitness by starting a 501(c)(3) non-profit: No Coach Necessary. NCN works to subsidize coaching costs for low-income and youth strength sport athletes. Furthermore, we provide fitness resources and exclusive seminars at no cost to youth. My work within these marginalized communities in fitness afforded me the opportunity to graduate with Leadership Distinction from the University of South Carolina in the field of Professional and Civic Engagement. While at USC, I founded and directed two scholarship fundraisers in the form of a weightlifting competition, whereby money raised went to support the education of Gold Star Families. In partnership with all three branches of the USC ROTC, these events have successfully raised thousands of dollars over three consecutive years (2022, 2023, and 2024), with a 2025 event planned. As a long-time powerlifting competitor, I have demonstrated my tenacity, discipline, and ability to thrive under a busy schedule by earning a National Bench Press title in 2023, breaking seven state records, and securing my Pro Bench Card with USA Powerlifting in 2023. In 2024 I was honored to be selected for Team USA Bench Press and will represent Team USA at the 2024 Pan-American Bench Press Championships in November.Other organizations I affiliated myself with while at the University of South Carolina include Barbell Club and the Student Executive Board of Sports Clubs, created to oversee all sports clubs at the University.
