After the Cenovus Husky merger, Mitchell was selected to lead the new Conventional Development team, consisting primarily of engineering and geoscience professionals. Primary responsibilities includes maintaining a safety first culture, business strategy development, long range planning, securing capital budget, executing the development portfolio, and supporting the ongoing ESG commitments. This organization was brought together under Mitchell’s leadership at the beginning of 2016 with the mandate to align and optimize the Husky planning process and provide strategic insight and data analytics to both the operating divisions and the executive level.
