Hi. I'm Mitch.I count myself lucky because I love my day job. I'm a coach working in private practice. I spend most of my week in intimate one-on-one conversation with fascinating, talented individuals who are deeply committed to the internal work that is necessary to realize the potential of their external works. Together we set goals for their personal and professional development, then methodically deconstruct the unconscious barriers that have fixed their current patterns in place. What inevitably comes forth is their innate compassion, contentment, and capability as a leader.In addition to coaching adults, I coach adolescents. Specifically, the boys soccer team at Amistad High School in New Haven, CT. I am exceedingly proud of every one of the young men I work with.I spend most of my time coaching these days, but I did a lot of other stuff before this.For most of the past decade I've been a strategy consultant.But my undergraduate degree was in mechanical engineering.I also got a degree in political science, and did a stint as a field organizer on a congressional campaign.I never studied religion, but I spent a few months sampling Buddhist monastic life.More recently I trained in a community clinic as a mental health professional.Somewhere along the way I drove a pedicab in San Francisco. That was the dream, you guys.Finally, since certifying as an Integral Coach in 2022, I've opened my private practice: Awareness at Work.
