Spun-off activities include Genie Energy which resells electricity and natural gas to residential and small business customers in the Eastern and Midwestern United States, drilling services and exploration in Colorado and Israel, Fabrix Systems (sold to Ericsson) which sells a cloud-based platform for delivering DVR and video on demand, Straight Path Communications, an intangible asset monetization company and the holder of FCC 5G spectrum licenses providing wireless coverage of the entire United States, real estate holdings, animation and entertainment, video sales and distribution, brochure distribution, consumer debt collection, the Zedge mobile content discovery and acquisition platform, and Rafael Pharmaceuticals a clinical stage, oncology-focused pharmaceutical company committed to the development and commercialization of therapies that exploit the metabolic differences between normal cells and cancer cells.
