Key responsibilities included:- assisting in strategic planning of technical/creative direction for the company- maintaining and evolving the game engine and platform in a product-driven manner including handling open-source PRs, code quality assurance, and release management- developing a client/server-side WebAssembly scripting system with a Rust/WIT API and networking capabilities- building a comprehensive semantically-analyzed package system with user-defined items in a TOML-embedded IDL- prototyping both product features and guest projects, including a flagship highly-modifiable vehicle combat game- writing and/or editing the majority of user-facing documentation to ensure a consistent tone and assumed knowledge- team development, including mentoring a junior programmer and on-boarding new team members- creating internal and external developer tooling and utilities
