Troubleshooting various issues through the PLCs.Implemented a Coating Mass Control (CMC) system upgrade project. The CMC system was provided by an OEM and required significant upgrades to work well with the Metal Coating Line. The upgrades resulted in the decrease of losses in hot metal used for coating as well as down grades and product rejects. Skin Pass Speed Interlock project implemented a speed check to interlock Skin Pass rolls from closing unless at a safe speed. The project improved the safety of the plant.Engineering Services - Implemented a chemical tank automation system in the Colour Coating Line with Modicon PLCs. Added an auto-slowdown function to the entry & exit buffer loops to increase continuous running time on the line. Removed and upgraded DC drives with Powerflex DC. Including planning of smooth transition without stopping the line over a period of weeks and commissioning new drives to the production line requirements.Project manager for implementing an arm device for cleaning DC motor commutators from a safe distance.
