Senior Project Manager specializing in historic restoration and hospitality construction with 20 years experience. My love of problem solving is what helped me in my early construction years while working with AvroKO Design Group. As a sister company, our project management firm worked hand in hand with the design team to transform "napkin sketches" into real life. Being able to quickly understand the design intent and translate that to sub-contractors in a language they could understand quickly led to some incredible designs and award winning projects.Over the 10 years of NYC based projects, I oversaw over 70 restaurant builds all over the country as well as a few international builds. Drawing on my theatre and audio background, I was hired to update the Shanghai Grand Theatre in all their technology needs of lighting, projection, and audio. Ultimately, all the moving around landed me back with friends at AvroKO, this time hired to build out, manage, and run their furniture and lighting division. Again, working with designers in early concept, flushing out the ideas with design, and finally overseeing fabrication through various US based shops. With their expansion to San Francisco, this was my opportunity to try a new city and try my hand at slowing down a bit.Since being in San Francisco I moved back into the construction side of things and finding my passion with problem solving through project opportunities in historic restoration, such as The Palace Hotel renovation, The San Francisco Armory, and The Hotel President in Palo Alto. I've also been challenged through working with Apple building several of their retail stores, as well as overseeing the interior buildout of the SF Moma. One of the larger projects I've worked on was a Renzo Piano design shopping mall at Bishop's Ranch in San Ramon where I was charged with adding a pool on the 3rd floor of the mall for Equinox and separately building out a luxury 10 screen movie theatre and restaurant.One of the greatest keys to my success with all these projects is making sure everyone feels valued and their contribution is recognized. Keeping architect, engineers, owners, sub-contractors, and city inspectors all involved gives each project a sense of journey, pride, and triumph at each conclusion and builds lasting relationships.
