The role offered the exciting opportunity to be part of and manage the newly formed Web Team, taking responsibility for and ownership of all aspects of Pico's online business.As the Online Business Development Manager at Pico Technology, I have been leading and growing the company's online sales channels and websites for over three years. I have a Diploma in Technical Authoring, self-taught HTML/CSS skills, and over 20 years experience working across Marketing and Development environments. I have extensive experience of creating and releasing informative web content, user documentation and products to customers. The Web Development Team is responsible for all Pico websites, including OEM portals, press sites, careers sites and our main business sites. The team also run and are responsilbe for our ECOM store and 3rd party selling platforms, optimizing Web and listing content while increasing sales through those channels. Outside of this support is given to the Marketing and Technical Publications teams, using my experience and skills to assist in providing key services and information to both internal, and external customers. We all work collaboratively to optimize and enhance Pico's online presence, the user experience, and our brand awareness. My goal is to leverage my skills and experience to lead the team and drive Pico's online business development and innovation. To support the company's mission of providing high-quality, affordable Test and Measurement and Automotive Diagnostic solutions.

Prior to my appointment to Online Sales Manager, there was no single person responsible for the management or promotion of sales via online avenues.

Update: I am now responsible for the management of the Automotive Authoring Team.

Update: I am now responsible for my colleagues daily workload and priorities within the Automotive Tech Pubs side of the business. Our responsibilities are to create/maintain documentation for Pico Technology, including (but not limited to): User's guides, datasheets, QSGs, sales sheets, case studies, articles and videos.

My role involves creating various automotive documents, whilst still supporting other areas of the business when required. My automotive focus covers User's Guides, Training material, and NPI documentation. My role also includes visiting various vehicle manufacturers & customers to obtain data from their vehicles. In turn I take the acquired information and compile a demo build of our software for them to check, before the formal build is completed by Development.Producing the monthly Pico Technology Automotive Newsletter along with the administration of our automotive support forum.My skills allow me to produce/provide all content required for my documentation tasks. From the graphic design, to the technical drawings through to the technical authoring of the document while ensuring the team and I deliver on our responsibilities.
