Waxman is a public interest firm chaired by former Congressman Henry Waxman, who, amongst many other accomplishments, wrote and passed much of the key environmental legislation of the last several decades, including the 1990 Clean Air Act, and the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Contributed to the development of a coalition plan and public outreach strategies for a key client (Canadian Council for International Cooperation) at a provider of strategic intelligence, public policy and communications research. Initiated a Gates Foundation-funded nationwide coalition campaign to prompt the newly receptive Canadian government to meet international standards for aid contribution. Bridged gap between opinion research and strategic campaigns informed by that research to implement far-reaching institutional programmatic goals.

Established Pew's benchmark model for building, funding, and managing regional coalitions in Canada while recognizing and furthering the rights of Indigenous communities. Strategic advisor to project director, regional teams, and partners. Analyzed complex strategic and political challenges. Recommended actionable plans, managed grant funds, oversaw implementation of grant-funded initiatives. Managed team of 72 direct and indirect reports with multimillion-dollar budget. Key Highlights….• Directly accountable for securing the majority of campaign's land protection victories. Played decisive role in Québec government's policy to place 75% of Québec (1.2 million square kilometers) into a sustainable development zone. Secured near unanimous support across all sectors of Québec society and all 3 major political parties.• Led successful effort to change UNESCO rules to recognize the interconnection between nature and culture in Indigenous nominations to the esteemed World Heritage list. Opened the door for countless other indigenously occupied wild landscapes to be placed on the list in a manner consistent with the values of those who have occupied and protected these lands for millennia.

Directed development and implementation of 40+ state-based strategic plans, building coalition groups for Pew's Heritage Forests Campaign to protect the remaining intact and unprotected roadless areas on the US National Forest System. Led 40 direct and hundreds of indirect reports on day-to-day campaign operations. Educated policy makers and agency officials. Coordinated field activities with grassroots and national partner organizations. Mobilized unprecedented public engagement, resulting in Clinton Administration announcing a policy protecting all 60 million acres from road construction and logging. Federal government received 8X more public comments than any prior federal rulemaking. Public hearings overflowed with supporters - even in resource-dependent rural areas. State governors rallied along with activists to prevent rollback of the "Roadless Rule" under subsequent administration.

Developed public online outreach tools and web tools to mobilize voters, serving on the core team of Leave No Voter Behind, MoveOn PAC's unprecedented volunteer-based, neighbor-to-neighbor voter drive. Implemented program to bring thousands of volunteers to swing states. Key member of campaign that succeeded in mobilizing more than 70,000 volunteers and turning out more than 500,000 additional votes for Sen. John Kerry.

Developed and implemented strategy for an international market-based campaign with a team of campaigners within and without Greenpeace to pressure large retailers to stop selling materials from ancient forests. Campaign succeeded in securing pledges from the top two Do-It-Yourself retailers, The Home Depot and Lowe's, and furniture giant IKEA.
