As a Para-educator, my primary duties included assisting the students in the Special Ed. department with their daily assignments, push in to specific classrooms and assist my group of students, as well as the rest of the class in their daily assignments. Prior to being hired as Program Coordinator for Richmond PAL's Easter Hill location, I had aspirations to completely revitalize the curriculum & overall morale at the site. After several productive introductory weeks, I found myself a prominent factor in the rebirth of this community. Though my primary duties were to create a curriculum, organize events & occasionally transport the kids, it was my mission to take my role much 3 steps higher. There are several accomplishments I'm proud of during my time with PAL. Networking with local restaurants to host lessons about healthy habits & alternatives, getting kids excited about learning Spanish through DuoLingo, leading the community's first ever Flag Football team to a city-wide Championship and tons of other accomplishments. All of those were great experiences, but I was always primarily focused on academic literacy & growth. Also during my tenure, I increased member rate over 400%, increased the GPA of over 15 children by at least .3 GPA, incorporated after-school homework tutoring lessons, along with the aforementioned language & skill classes. Working this position not only vastly helped me grow in my Career, but it also provided me with relationships & moments I will forever cherish.

As a Production Assistant, my responsibilities varied day to day. One of the more essential duties of the position was operating the ticker-crawl for both NBC Bay Area and NBCCalifornia networks. As operator, I was responsible for researching and breakingRegional & National Sporting news, as well as assigning the proper hourly sponsors during live games & shows to its corresponding time slot. The most vital part of the role was being responsible for producingNBC's "Morning Minute", a snippet of the day's Sporting news which aired online. Responsibilities for producing the show included the research of team & player story lines, the construction of digital on screen graphics, including banners and scoreboards highlighting top performers and the creation of a dynamic script and sound bites, to later be featured on the show.
