I was born in the quaint hometown of Sacramento, California and spent most of my days sewing together field poppies and drawing sugar plum fairies at a small Lutheran school, as a young girl. I love to design and outdoor adventures. My plan is to launch a long circumnavigation around the Caribbean and the world. This will involve hosting events: career expos, speed dating, wine crawls, podcasts, brand ambassadorships, fitness and wellness seminars. I also volunteer at children's organizations.Currently, I work as a Talent Partner with THCO creating iconic campaigns to disrupt the hospitality industry and build relationships with the child and family consumer in entertainment. My job involves finding top talent for event planning, luxury travel, and gourmet dining experiences. As a humanities nerd in this life's chapter, I anticipate connecting with many diverse creatives. My job is to hire the future curators, concierges, and directors for our best moments and attractions in life.Personally, my fondest memories in the workforce started as a preschool cook in 2006. I worked alongside experienced preschool educators in the childcare field with my young son, Elijah Alton (at the time). I prepared food in the confines of their safe dwellings with his classroom just a few doors down. Years later, I find myself drawn back to the hospitality industry. I have discovered that more and more African American buyers want to invest in their local Black-Owned Restaurants and Global Communities, but are not always aware of how to do so.Experience in various Marketing roles and as a Kitchen Director led to launching The Soul Food Directory. Finding a way into the hearts of the African American community with Soul Food leads to better 'dates'. Pre-Dating Speed Dating has partnered with me to offer fun-filled dining.At THCO, I enjoy applying human-centered design, design thinking principles to create innovation and sourcing business models geared towards growth. I thrive on content development. I am an Educator. I am a Blogger. But most importantly, I have an understanding of optimization strategies to secure a creative team in the hospitality sector.
