I’ve been fortunate to have enjoyed a very unique career path and found my home, back in SaaS with Oxalys, championing digital Procurement in South Africa. Understanding people and what drives them to perform beyond their own expectation, is what drives me. Combine this with the right systems and processes to ensure effort is spent where it delivers the highest yield, then the magic of human capability truly starts to flourish. In addition to the human element, I thoroughly enjoy exploring new systems and technologies which simplify input and excels output, to ultimately deliver better results and an improved user/client experience. Pragmatic and data driven problem solving is another quality I like to exercise, both in my professional and personal life. As a husband, father of two boys and a little princess, these skills are invaluable to achieving the small wins in both areas of my life. This has served me in many business challenges and strategic planning, as well as ensuring we are able to leave home on time to get everyone to school and Dad to work. Although spare time is a scarce commodity in today’s life, I make an effort to exercise and push myself to the point where physical and mental resilience meet, I read to clear my mind and set goals, and I relish in spending quality time with family and friends while showing off my perfectly honed braai’ing skills.
