Director Of Network Security Architects
In January of 2016, the Network Security Business from Intel Security, namely Stonesoft and Sidewinder Firewalls, were sold to Forcepoint. A portion of the individuals tied to the business transitioned with the solutions over to Forcepoint. There we stabilized, optimized, and built out our Sales Engineering team to execute across the Americas. As a specialist organization, the teams goal was to set the seed within the broader Forcepoint Sales Team, that Network Security is crucial to our customer base. As per plan, the majority of our Specialist teams have been mainstreamed into our Sales Organization to allow for more exponential impact.
North America Network Security Architect Manager
At Intel Security (formerly McAfee Security), I currently manage a team of Network Security Architects across North America. We are focused on building integrated solutions for customers that solve security, design, and architecture challenges they face. Management activities include tracking sales opportunities, hiring new staff, career development for current staff, expense control, mitigating conflicts, filtering noise and distractions so that the team can focus, handling escalations, interfacing with Executive Management, Marketing, and the BU.As we operate as a Startup inside the larger organization I have additional daily roles beyond standard management functions. These include helping build & validate marketing programs, developing new GTM strategies, POC and evaluation programs, creating custom presentations and content, creating a Technical Advisors group to interface with the BU, building internal training and enablement programs, partner enablement programs, building internal sales campaigns, and more. When not working on all these other activities I truly enjoy presenting at Executive Briefings (EBC), Marketing Events, Trade Shows, Partners, and in front of customers. While I now have a Manager title I still love getting deep into technology solving customer challenges so you'll find me often meeting directly with prospects.

This process often involved presentations, white boarding sessions, product demonstrations, proof of concepts, and working with customers on deployment strategies. While the primary focus was on the Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas region, opportunities often required travel beyond the primary region.
