Through my experiences at Lynx Equity and BDO, I developed a passion for private market transactions and a strong desire to invest in and operate a small business.Prior to launching Spruce Grove Capital, I was most recently an Associate at Lynx Equity, where we transacted on business ranging in purchase price from $4M to $10M. In addition, I worked with Lynx's COO to oversee 13 portfolio companies across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, and digital marketing.Prior to joining Lynx, I worked at BDO Canada on their Valuations team. In this role, I advised on over 10 transactions, valuing companies worth upwards of $120M. Michael also partnered with legal counsel on preparing expert witness reports for litigation support and economic loss quantification. Prior to BDO, I was part of the Executive Team Leader development program at Target Canada, where I supported their groundbreaking expansion into Canada. I developed a reputation as a proactive coach, mentor, and team energizer that communicated and motivated through empowerment and inclusion. I am a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative individual who takes pride in fostering an open, respectful, and passionate culture. I am driven to set ambitious goals and meet desired targets, while always striving to improve processes.
